Macy, Sandra J.
Sandra J. Macy, 74, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2013, at her home. Private graveside services will be at a later date in Iowa City.
Sandra Jane Macy was born April 7, 1939, to R.S. and Irene Buehneman Macy in Iowa City, Iowa. She worked for the Cedar Rapids Community School District as an art teacher for many years. Sandra was a member of the Cedar Rapids Concert Chorale.
She is survived by her brother, James Macy of Fairlawn, Ohio; two nephews, Andy Macy of Fairlawn, Ohio and Matt Macy of Silverthorne, Colo.; and niece, Kate Macy Walters of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings, Rick Macy and Judith Macy.
Memorial donations may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
