Gibson, Sandra L.
Sandra L. Gibson, 70, of Living Center West died there on Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012. Per Sandra's request there will be no service. Friends may call at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home for a gathering on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m.
Survivors include a daughter, Shawn Gibson-Schild and her husband, Marlin of Cedar Rapids; two grandchildren, Alexandra and Heather; a great-grandchild, Kemper Schild; one brother; and one sister.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Mary Alice.
Sandra was born on March 28, 1942 in Riverside, Calif., the daughter of Francis and Ruth McCelland Knebel. She married Robert J. Gibson in August 1960. They were later divorced. Sandra worked in assembly at Norand and retired from there after several years of service.
