Engel, Arlene E.
Arlene E. Engel, 79, of Maquoketa, died unexpectedly on Monday, Aug. 19, 2013, at her home in rural Maquoketa. A celebration of Arlene's life will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at First Lutheran Church in Maquoketa. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at Carson Celebration of Life Center in Maquoketa. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetery, Maquoketa.
Those left to honor Arlene's memory include her husband, J.C. Engel of Maquoketa; sons, Dean (Jenny) Engel of Delmar, Lynn (Christine) Engel of Marion and Neal Engel of Maquoketa; five grandchildren, twins Beth and Megan, Lexi, Lily and Lex; a brother, Herman (JoAnn) Grosskruger of Andrew; and a sister, Norma (Dale) Schmidt of Baldwin.
