Gale and Dorothy Conrad welcomed their final child into this world on Oct. 9, 1965, in Sigourney, Iowa. The youngest of 13, they named her Bonita Kay Conrad. Those who knew her best affectionately called her Bonnie, Bon or Bonbon.
Bonnie grew up in rural Rose Hill, Iowa on a farm where she was active in caring for the farm with her siblings and parents. Her love of children was apparent from the start as she started her career as a social worker helping those children that didn't have an advocate. Blessed with many nieces and nephews, Bonnie loved to play and swim with them at the Sunday gatherings with her family.
She met and fell in love with Patrick Weber. They were married for 17 years and settled in Cascade. Bonnie was very active in the community and helped her husband establish his vending machine business there. She was blessed with four amazing children, Nolan, 16; Macie, 15; Madalyn, 13; and Sydney, 10, all at home. Her children were her life, and she encouraged them to pursue their dreams. She was very involved in all their extracurricular activities, and rarely missed a recital, ballgame and other event.
Known for her amazing fashion sense, Bonnie was always dressed to the nines. She loved baking delicious desserts, bargain hunting and exploring different business adventures. She was an amazing friend and unbelievable hostess. Her parties were legendary as no detail was omitted.
She will be remembered for her humor, spunk, beauty, loyalty and grace.
Bonnie was a member of St. Matthias Parish in Cascade.
She is also survived by her father, Gale Conrad of Sigourney; her six brothers and six sisters, Janet (Dan) Brochu of East Longmeadow, Mass., Larry (Joyce) Conrad of Walker, Beverly (John) Dennis of Blakesburg, Karen (Alva) Calvert of Barnes City, Donna (Raymond) Adams and Mary (John) Molyneux, both of What Cheer, John (Denise) Conrad of Rose Hill, Randy (Melanie) Conrad of Ottumwa, Alan (Laurie) Conrad of Oklahoma City, Okla., Connie (Jeff) Howar and Gary Conrad, both of Rose Hill, and Gordan (Gina) Conrad of Colfax; and many nieces and nephews.
Her beautiful soul passed from this world to join her mother, Dorothy; and her nephew, Seth, in heaven.
In lieu of flowers, it is requested memorials be given to The Bonnie Weber Family Trust.
Online condolences may be sent to the family at www.reifffuneralhomeinc.com.
