BETTY J. ROHWEDDER
Olin
Betty J. Rohwedder, 87, of Olin, passed away Sunday, Aug. 13, 2017, at the Clarence Nursing Home. Her funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 17, at St. John's Lutheran Church. A visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to the time of service. Burial will be held at the Olin Cemetery following the service.
Betty Jane Frank was born Dec. 14, 1929, to Walter John and Florence Ashinger (Kersten) Frank, in Saukville, Wis. She attended Olin Consolidated School. She married Harold Rohwedder on July 18, 1948, at St. John's Lutheran Church.
Betty was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She was a choir director for many years and was a confirmation and Sunday school teacher. She worked as a secretary, bookkeeper and homemaker. She led Bible study for many years, and enjoyed quilting and baking. She tended a large garden and fruit trees. She enjoyed flowers, and was an avid golfer, bowler, and a very good bridge player.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Harold; children, Kevin (Alyce) Rohwedder of Olin and Keith (Sandy) Rohwedder of Mechanicsville; grandchildren, Nicolas, Jessica, Devin and Alexandra, great-grandchildren, Jace, Dakota and Summer; sister, Linda (Jack) of Olin; and brother, Walter (Jeanne) Frank of Aitkin, Minn.
She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gerald; and sisters, Grace and Annette.
