Police said they found more than 40 grams of marijuana in the home of a substitute Kirkwood Community College teacher.
On Tuesday afternoon, investigators with the Johnson County Drug Task Force served a narcotics search warrant at 2002 H Street in Iowa City, the home of 64-year-old Dona J. Saforek. While searching the residence, police said they found 42.5 grams of marijuana, several pipes with burnt residue, several empty baggies with marijuana shake inside and a grinder with marijuana residue.
Police said while talking with Saforek, they learned she was a substitute teacher at Kirkwood Community College in Iowa City.
Saforek was arrested and faces charges of possession of marijuana with intent to deliver and an Iowa drug tax stamp violation. Both offenses are class D felonies, punishable by up to five years in prison.
