Suzanne Gray, 67, of 1927 Central Dr. SW, died Friday, July 18, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center following a short illness. No services will be held, per her wishes. The body was cremated and ashes will be taken to a cemetery in Murray, Iowa, to be scattered with her family.
Survivors include her son, Rodger T. (Cara); five grandchildren, Tia M. (Joshua) Goodwin, Cole, Zachariah, Dylan and Jade, all of Cedar Rapids; great-grandson, Cavarion; great-granddaughter, Charlotte Rose; mother, Ruby L. Gray; brothers, Frank E. Gray, Cedar Rapids, Jack E. (Seliece) Alto, N.M., and James A. (Mary), Marion; nieces; nephews; and extended family members.
Suzanne was born June 25, 1947, in Waterloo, Iowa, to Frank E. and Ruby L. Gray Sr. She worked at United Fire and Casualty, AEGON, Midland Transportation and Worley Warehouse. She also worked for Norrell Staffing Services for 20 years. She graduated from Kirkwood Community College, with honors, in computer operations. She was a charter member of Hillside Wesleyan Church in Cedar Rapids. She enjoyed singing, playing the piano and organ, sewing, crocheting and reading.
