One Iowa, Kirkwood Community College to host LGBTQ in Workplace summit

One Iowa, a statewide not-for-profit that promotes equality for LGBTQ Iowans, will host its second-annual Eastern Iowa LGBTQ Workplace Culture Summit at Kirkwood Community College this Tuesday.

The summit features keynote speeches and breakout sessions focusing on how employers can support and retain LGBTQ employees, and what rights LGBTQ employees have and how they can make their workplaces more inclusive. Meals and networking time are provided in between sessions.

The summit runs from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 23, at Kirkwood Community College's Iowa Hall, 6301 Kirkwood Blvd. SW, Cedar Rapids.

Online registration is closed, but tickets can be purchased at the door for $50 per ticket for people affiliated with a not-for-profit, and $100 per tickets for those working for a for-profit company.
