Photo: Iowa will honor Tyler Sash on helmets Saturday

Iowa announced via the football team's Twitter account Thursday its plans to honor former safety Tyler Sash at Saturday's Cy-Hawk game.

The Hawkeyes will replace the Tigerhawk logo on one side of the helmet with Sash's No. 9.

Sash, a two-time all-Big Ten safety for Iowa, was found dead Tuesday in Oskaloosa at the age of 27.

Kirk Ferentz said on his radio show Wednesday night that Iowa State will hold a moment of silence as well.
