Dr. G. Edgar Folk Jr., professor emeritus in the department of molecular physiology and biophysics at the University of Iowa, Carver College of Medicine in Iowa City, passed away peacefully Sunday, Dec. 10, 2017, at the Oaknoll Retirement Center in Iowa City. There will be a celebration of life memorial service for Dr. Folk from 2 to 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, at the Oaknoll Retirement Center, 1 Oaknoll Ct., Iowa City, IA, 52246.
In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Smithsonian Institute, Audubon Society, American Physiological Society Scholarship Program or any other society or charity of your choice in care of his daughter Victoria Sprague, 58 Pitt St., Portland, ME 04103.
