Phyllis C. Wegner, 85, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha after a sudden illness. Per Phyllis' request, there will be no service or visitation. Entombment: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include two daughters, Janet (Dan) Kronlage of West Des Moines and Deb (Mike) Oltman of Omaha, Neb.; one sister, Shirley (Wally) Gallaher of Denver, Colo.; five grandchildren, Jody, Neil, Sean, Bryan and Dana; and one great-grandchild, Jay.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Don.
Phyllis was born July 13, 1929, in Independence, the daughter of Jay and Margaret Muncey Wooff. She married Donald W. Wegner on July 30, 1950, in Jesup. Don passed away in 1986.
Phyllis' memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved her. She will be greatly missed.
Memorial donations may be given to The Salvation Army in Phyllis' name.
