Gladys L. Snow, 79, died April 5, 2014, at North-brook Manor Care Center in Cedar Rapids following an extended illness. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, April 7, at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Pastor Ken Koeske will officiate at the service. Private family service and burial will be at a later date.
The earthly life of Gladys L. Snow ended on April 5, 2014, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She was born Aug. 10, 1934. Married at the early age of 16 to Edgar B. Snow Jr., she bore two children before she was 20 years old. Like their mother, both are redheads. The daughter, Debra Sharon, was born June 6, 1952, and died Dec. 14, 2007. The son, Steven Keith (Mary Alice Jones), was born Sept. 15, 1954. He resides in Cedar Rapids.
In addition, her family includes two grand-daughters and two great-grandsons. The grand-daughters are Amy Clark (Anson) and Kim Havlicek (John) and the great-grandchildren are Tyler and Brayden Kuper. A sister, Joyce (Don) Miller, lives in Pine Bluff, Ark.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother.
Gladys was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
Memorial donations may be directed to Hospice of Mercy.
