Mary Jane Eulberg, 87, of Anamosa, formerly of Garnavillo, Iowa, died Wednesday, June 17, 2015, at Jones Regional Medical Center in Anamosa, Iowa. She was born on Sept. 4, 1927, in Petersburg, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Hilda (Bockenstedt) Fangman.
Mary received her education locally and spent many years working for Ertl Toy Co. and G & G, as well as caring for nine children. Mary had many interests, but spending time with her family was her greatest joy. She shared a very special relationship with her great-granddaughter, Morgan.
Those left to cherish Mary's memory are her nine children, Marcus (Ellen) Eulberg, Matthew (Diana) Eulberg, Jason (Kristina) Eulberg, Theodore (Sharon) Berns, Michael Berns, Ann (Dan) Fountain, Richard (Debra) Berns, Jane (Jeff) Scherf and Christopher (Shirley) Berns; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six siblings, Francis, Vernice, Bernard, Vincent, Ted and Jerry; and several nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Cyril Berns and Roy Eulberg; one great-granddaughter, Mackenzie J. Ward; and four siblings, Estella, James, Bernadette and Juanita.
Arrangements are being handled by Tuecke-Allyn Funeral Home, 001 S. Industrial Park Rd., Garnavillo, Iowa.
Funeral services will be at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garnavillo at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 20, with the Rev. Marvin Bries officiating. Interment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Garnavillo. Friends may call after 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Garnavillo.
The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all the staff at Jones Regional Medical Center for the exceptional care provided to Mary and her family during her final days.
