Johnson, Kurt Lee
Funeral services for Kurt Lee Johnson, 70, of Tipton, who died Thursday, May 17, 2012, will be held Monday, May 21, at 10:30 a.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden, with Pastor Victor P. Young officiating. Burial will follow at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Lowden.
Kurt was born Feb. 25, 1942, the son of Harry B. and Nathaleen W. Summers Johnson, in Clarinda, Iowa. He graduated from Emerson High School and attended Iowa Western Community College in Clarinda. On July 10, 1982, Kurt was united in marriage to Diane Marie Horman in Lowden.
He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Lowden.
Kurt was employed as a governmental data processor and enjoyed operating amateur radios.
Kurt is survived by his wife, Diane of Tipton; son, Klay Johnson and his wife, Tami of Tipton; grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashley, Racheal, and Kelsey; and one great-grandchild, Harper.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and son, Kent.
