Carberry sees value of urban-rural balance

Mike Carberry has taken the time to listen to the concerns of rural county residents as they see their neighborhoods of farmland transformed into housing developments approved by the Johnson County Board of Supervisors.
Janelle Rettig has been openly hostile to rural residents, and if she has her way, this destruction of farms and the rural neighborhoods around them will continue.
The only way to stop the loss of farmland is to elect new candidates to the Board of Supervisors with new ideas on preserving farmland in the north corridor.
These ideas include limiting rural residential development to those lots zoned residential and to areas within a mile of our cities.
Carberry supports such a plan and will be an advocate for farmers and rural residents and all county citizens who want to preserve our urban and rural balance.
Vote for Carberry in Tuesday's primary election.
