Letter: Helping Americans hear each other again

It does not seem that the Republicans and Democrats in Washington are talking to each other or hearing each other. Therefore, it is kudos to Sen. Chuck Grassley who demonstrates that members of opposite parties can work together for the benefit of all.
He and Sen. Elizabeth Warren are working together to address the problem that many Americans have with their hearing. They have issued a joint statement calling for over-the-counter hearing aids.
Although 48 million Americans suffer from hearing loss only 14 percent use a hearing aid. Well done, Sen. Grassley! At a time when many Americans seem to be at odds and having trouble hearing each other, Senators Grassley and Warren have set a great example of bipartisan collaboration.
