Candace M. Hayden, 41, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. A Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, Feb. 6, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories Visitation Wing, with a brief sharing of memories beginning at noon.
Candace Marie Hayden was born May 2, 1974, to George and Patricia Coberly Hinds in Cedar Rapids. Candace obtained her bachelor's degree from Mount Mercy College. She was united in marriage to Greg Hayden on Nov. 1, 2003, in Mount Vernon. To this union two sons were born, Alexander and Cooper. Candace worked at NFI Trucking of Cedar Rapids as a logistics coordinator.
She enjoyed decorating the house around the holidays, especially Halloween. Candace made her house a home. She loved animals, shopping and interior decorating. Her pride and joy were her boys and she will forever be missed.
Survivors include her husband, Greg; children, Alexander and Cooper; parents, George and Patricia Hinds of Van Horne; parents-in-law, Ken and Gloria Hayden of Oxford Junction; sister, Tamara (Rich) Grile of Mount Pleasant, S.C.; two brothers, Robert Hinds of Shelby, Ala., and Steven (Dawn) Hinds of Shellsburg; several nieces and nephews; and her dog, Gus.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents.
