Gregory Lynn Sanders, 65, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at St Luke's Hospital after a long illness. Services: 1 p.m. Monday at Teahen Funeral Home, by the Rev. Jeremy Hudson. Burial: Palo Cemetery, Palo, at a later date. Friends may visit Monday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. at Teahen Funeral Home

Greg was born June 27, 1946, in Cedar Rapids. He retired after several years in the construction industry.

He is survived by two sons, Scott (Jolene) and Kevin (Kelli) Sanders; two daughters, Nikki (Blair) Neuzil and Marti (Don) Kleusner Sanders; five grandchildren, Tiffany, Drew, Shondra, Toni and Emma; a great-grandson, Devin; a brother, Randy (Gayla) Mulnix; a sister, Jan (Bill) Belew; and his significant other, June Goddard.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Sanders and Edna Mulnix; a brother, Wayne Schnell; and a sister, Kay McNeil.

Greg loved to fish, complete a crossword puzzle, spend time with his faithful companion, Bullet, and enjoy a Hershey candy bar.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Bonnie Hudson for her kind and compassionate care to Greg over the last few years.

Instead of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
