COZAD, Neb. (AP) - An Iowa woman has died in a rollover crash in south-central Nebraska.
The Nebraska State Patrol says the crash happened Saturday on Interstate 80 near Cozad, killing 83-year-old Delores Gerdes of Le Mars, Iowa.
Investigators say her husband, 81-year-old Kenneth Gerdes, was driving westbound on the interstate when the vehicle went out of control, headed into a ditch and rolled several times.
The patrol says Delores Gerdes was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle.
Kenneth Gerdes is in intensive care at a Kearney hospital.
