Donna Healy, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, June 24, 2015, at St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids. Memorial services: 1:30 p.m. Saturday, June 27, at New Disciples Church, 621 Edgewood Rd. NW, Cedar Rapids, conducted by the Rev. Stasia Fine. Family will greet friends from noon until service time. Burial: Mount Auburn Cemetery, Mount Auburn.
Donna was born June 17, 1942, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, daughter of Lyle and Effie (Kennedy) West. She graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School in 1960. On June 12, 1960, she married Glenn Edmond Healy in Council Bluffs. The couple lived in Virginia, Maine and Hawaii while Glenn service in the military. Upon his discharge, the couple moved to Cedar Rapids.
Donna worked for Rockwell Collins for 31 years, retiring in 1999.
She was a member of IBEW Union, serving as a steward, and NCHA camping club. Donna enjoyed quilting, sewing clothes for her children and grandchildren, and camping, but most of all, she loved attending her children's and grand children's events.
Survivors include son, Glenn R. (Debbie) Healy of Cedar Rapids; three grandchildren, Stephanie (Jason) McGaffee, Kelly Healy and Daniel Healy; six great-grandchildren, Audrey, Caleb, Chance, Mason, Chyar and Caralyn; and sister, Artis McClure of Palmdale, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Glenn E. Healy; daughter, Annette Healy; and siblings, Fred, Barney, Iris, Veda and Jane.
