Blum was wrong to share reporter’s contact info

I was appalled to see my congressman, Rod Blum, had tweeted the contact information of a reporter who sent him a question via email.
The question was about Blum's membership in a Facebook group alleged to include racist comments and conspiracy theories. I don't care about Facebook group memberships. No one should be held accountable for the opinions of others. However, causing the vitriol that we all know came this reporter's way is the act of a bully.
This guy, who was just doing his job, now has a family worried about his safety. It sends the message, 'Ask me an uncomfortable question, and I will sic the dogs of the media-hating radicals on you.”
I am ashamed of my congressman. Blum complained about the way he was treated at town halls last year, saying, 'It's kind of sad that politics has come to this.” He is a hypocrite who complains of being yelled at but attacks a reporter. He is Washington mean, not Iowa nice.
