There are seven candidates running for two at-large seats on the Cedar Rapids City Council. The one you choose needs to be someone qualified to understand the issues facing our city and prepared to make the difficult choices to deal with the issues we are confronting. No candidate is more qualified than Ralph Russell.
Russell has been a community leader and volunteer for more than four decades. He has donated his time to a variety of community non-profit and professional organizations. He has served as a member on the board of directors of 15 of them and has been elected as chairman of the board for seven of them.
Service to cities has been a lifetime commitment for Russell. As a civil engineer with a local consulting firm, he has designed and implemented numerous infrastructure projects for a number of cities. His extensive work experience has served as excellent preparation for service on the City Council.
