Letter: Liberal hypocrisy is getting old

Regarding the June 4 letter 'Trump discovering he is not a dictator”:
Now that we have a Republican in the White House, the liberals don the Yankee Doodle party hats and - the liberals who not so long ago were frustrated with the inconveniences of the Constitution - want to become the august historians of the Constitution. Where have these stalwart patriots been for the past 8 years?
Where were these patriots when Barack Obama wanted to work around Congress with 'a phone and a pen?” When the ACA was passed on a partisan vote in Congress? When the House Speaker admitted they had not read the bill? Democrats might claim that they have been Tea Party members all along.
People might fall for this pathetic ruse, just as they've been duped before when the Democrats in the South switched hats and became the New Abolitionists and the old Union Civil War Abolitionists became the new racist Republicans. What is amazing is how many people bought that magic act. What we're told about history is one thing, but what we're told is not necessarily the truth. Isn't it time we took a look at the truth? This liberal hypocrisy is disgusting and it's getting old.
Democrats have no platform. Their only purpose is to attack the guy who was elected to bust up the establishment of both entrenched parties. Some people are being fooled by this foul-mouthed vitriol. Not me. I have a voice and I intend to use it whenever I can.
