Three Corridor residents will be recognized Saturday for connecting the current and next generation in the community.
John Lohman, Robby Marvin and Aaron Saylor will receive Corridorian of the Year (COTY) awards at ImpactCR's annual meeting. The event, which begins at 6:30 p.m., will be held at Gatherings in the Bottleworks Loft Condominiums, 905 Third St. SE, Cedar Rapids.
Lohman is president, publisher and co-owner of the Corridor Media Group in Coralville, which publishes the Corridor Business Journal. The weekly business publication focuses on providing local business news and information to business and community leaders in the Cedar Rapids and Iowa City Corridor.
Marvin works as a tax accountant at AEGON. He leads the Robject, a community service project that encourages others to give back to their community whether it be through time, talent, or treasure.
Saylor is a commercial Realtor at Iowa Realty Commercial. He serves on the Cedar Rapids Infill Housing Task Force (studying neighborhood revitalization), and participated in the Neighborhood Planning Process and the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber of Commerce Fifteen in Five initiative.
ImpactCR, a community action group within the Cedar Rapids Area Chamber, is focused on connecting “now” and “next generation” talent in the Cedar Rapids area to leadership, civic, charitable and social opportunities.
