Can stable economy exist with inequality?

Senators and representatives are concerned about debt and have cut it by cutting food stamps and unemployment benefits. If I heard correctly, they might consider restoring unemployment benefits if they can find another way to cut the budget.

Instead of judging those with no jobs as citizens who have become too dependent on benefits and being unconcerned about those who work for less than a minimum wage, maybe it is time to look at the real situation in this country. One percent of the citizens own 60 percent of the wealth of the country, 44 percent in this country have enough savings to last for two months and 22 percent have no savings.

With such financial inequality, where should the cuts be made? Senators and representative have set themselves up to receive a generous retirement income for life. ... Can we ever develop a stable economy through such inequality? To profit more at the expense of others really works?
