Fred Kness, 61, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, May 7, 2015. Services: 11 a.m. Monday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 42nd Street NE. Burial: Rogers Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Teahen Funeral Home is serving the family.
Fred is survived by four children, Andrew and Emily Kness, Margaret (Travis) Limkemann and Josephine Kness (Alan); eight grandchildren; three sisters, Barb, Beverly and Shirley; one brother, Jim; and his dog, Rose.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, one grandson and one nephew.
Fred was born March 3, 1954, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Floyd and Eleanor Johnston Kness.
