Travis J. Lovetinsky, 30, of Iowa City, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2011. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Dec. 23, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, with burial to follow at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Travis John Lovetinsky was born Jan. 4, 1981, in Iowa City; he attended schools here graduating from City High School in 1999. For many years he enjoyed his work at Quality Care, as a small engine technician. Travis enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing, messing with his radio controlled cars and sharing his passion of Mopar Chrysler Automobiles with his father, Steve!

His family includes his parents, Stephen and Sharon of Iowa City; his sister, Stephanie (Steve) Shively of Iowa City; nieces and nephew, Angel, Ashley and Austin; many aunts, uncles, cousins; and his beloved miniature pincher, “Fireball.”

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Raymond and Marguerite Lovetinsky.
