Lois Mary Nosbisch-Belden, 70, of Swisher, Iowa, passed away Monday, Sept. 17, 2018, at her residence. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. with Scripture service to begin at
4 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 24, 2018, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. Mass of Christian Burial: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 25, 2018, at St. Ludmila Catholic Church, Cedar Rapids, with visitation one hour earlier. Entombment in Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Lois was born on July 12, 1948, in Elma, Iowa, the daughter of Walter and Lucille (Huegel) Nosbisch. In 1966, she graduated from St. Mary's High School in North Washington, Iowa. On June 13, 1981, Lois married Harlan Belden in Cedar Rapids. Lois was a hairdresser for 50 years and owned and operated Shear Happenings since 1979.
Lois is survived by her husband, Harlan Belden of Swisher; children, Shawn (Jason) Grady of Cedar Rapids, Josh Belden of North Liberty and Chelsea (Duy) Tran of Bloomington, Minn.; grandchildren, Gage and Paige; siblings, Jim (Cathy) Nosbisch of Stewartville, Minn., Roger (Paulette) Nosbisch of New Hampton, Iowa, Dave (Mary) Nosbisch of Durand, Ill., Glen (Jo) Nosbisch of New Hampton, Iowa, and Jane Nosbisch of Chicago, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.
Lois was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Lucille Nosbisch; and brothers, Michael and Merlin Nosbisch.
