Montgomery, Marilyn M.
Marilyn M. Montgomery, 85, of Brooklyn, died Saturday, May 19, 2012. Funeral Services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, at First Presbyterian Church, Brooklyn, with the Rev. John Reynolds Jr. officiating. Burial will be in Brooklyn Memorial Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Kloster Funeral Home, Brooklyn.
Left to celebrate her memory are her husband of 60 years, Dean; daughter, Mary (Craig) Lang of Brooklyn; son, Mike (Mary) Montgomery of Knoxville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Ronald (Jan) Read of Malcom; brother-in-law, Robert Wulf of Ankeny; sister-in-law, Darlene Read of Brooklyn; nieces and nephews; and many friends.
Marilyn was preceded in death by an infant daughter, DeAnn, in 1955; her parents, Glen and Margaret Hall Read; brother, Gerald in 1999; and sister, Gladys in 2009.
Memorials may be made to the Christian Appalachian Project (christianapp.org) or Guiding Eyes for the Blind (guidingeyes.org), two of Marilyn's favorite charities.
