Delmar L. Knock, 89 of Williamsburg, died Sunday, June 29, 2014, at his home, following a brief illness. Funeral service: 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 2, St. Paul Lutheran Church, Williamsburg, with the Rev. Carl Cloeter officiating. Burial: St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery, with military honors. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, St. Paul Lutheran Fellowship Hall.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be designated to Lutheran Interparish School Endowment Fund, St. Paul Lutheran Church Endowment Fund, Essence of Life Hospice or the charity of the donor's choice.
Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo is assisting the family with arrangements.
Delmar is survived by his wife, Vera; three sons, David (Deb), Steve (Jane) and Dean, all of Williamsburg: and six grandchildren, Justin (Noel) Knock of Waukee, Tara Knock and Jamie Knock, both of Williamsburg, Jacob Knock of Williamsburg, Lindi Knock of Milwaukee, Wis., and Isaac Knock of Williamsburg.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ferdinand and Anna Reckow Knock; and two brothers, Mervin and Byron.
