On Tuesday, June 29, 2010, the Cedar Rapids Public Library will remove the time capsule which was buried at the site of the former library prior to opening in 1985 (weather permitting).

Street building beginning at 9 a.m. Excavation should take approximately one hour. Following the excavation, the capsule will be opened and the items inside shared with the public.
