Jennifer Ann Payton, 34, passed away Sunday morning, May 13, 2018, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, May 18, at Goettsch Funeral Home, Anamosa, where friends may call after 9:30 a.m.
Survivors include her husband, Martin; four children, Camden, Samuel, Aiden and Jules; her parents, Julie Northen and Martin Ortgies; and stepfather, Clinton Young; her grandparents, John and Judy Bahnsen and Vera Ortgies; and three brothers, Frank, Derek and Robert Young.
Jennifer Ann Ortgies was born June 23, 1983, in Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of Martin Ortgies and Julie Bahnsen. Jennifer graduated from Midland High School in Wyoming. She later became a CNA. She was employed at Family Foods in Anamosa and Casey's. She also worked at several care centers in Cedar Rapids and at Monticello Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
