No one hurt when train, tractor collide in Central City

CENTRAL CITY – No one was injured when a train crunched into a tractor Tuesday afternoon in Central City.
Dwayne Kula, 54, of Ryan, was driving the tractor east on Central City Road around 1:10 p.m. when he pulled into the path of the northbound Canadian National train, according to the Linn County Sheriff's Office.
Sgt. Harvey Hall described the damage to the tractor as “major.” The train was able to continue on its route.
The accident closed the roadway for about two hours.
