Coonfare, Mary Louise
Mary Louise Coonfare, 60, of Bertram, died Sunday, May 13, 2012, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha. A Celebration of Life will be held at noon June 2, 2012, at the Bertram Town Hall. Burial at a later date at Campbell Cemetery.
Survivors include a brother, James (Mickey) Coonfare of Shueyville; and sisters, Susie (Dan) Shulgin of Cedar Rapids, Winnie Alger and Betty Hall, both of Bertram.
Mary was born Jan. 18, 1952, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Herbert A. and Arladene (Brown) Coonfare. On Sept. 22, 1984, she married Larry Benters. She worked as a certified nurse's aide, the last 12 years at West Ridge Care Center in the physical therapy department. Mary enjoyed collecting teddy bears and going to casinos.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a brother, Herbert P. Coonfare.
