Arthur, Eileen Rae
Eileen Rae Arthur, 59, of Oelwein, died peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at her home. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 25, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Maynard with the Rev. Ian Wolfe officiating. Burial: Long Grove Cemetery in Maynard, Iowa. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Geilenfeld Funeral Chapel in Oelwein.
Survivors include her son, Dave Wilhelmi and his fiancee, Traci of Eleva, Wis.; two grandchildren, Mykah and Afton Wilhelmi; special friend of over 20 years, Jim Bentley of Oelwein; her siblings, Lois (Bob) Eggerth of Swea City, Betty (Ernie) Cox of Prescott, Ariz., Joyce Geistkemper of Fayette, Vern (Jo) Arthur of Waverly, Rodney (Becky) Arthur of Loveland, Colo., Myron (Jan) Arthur of Maynard, Jerry (Florida) Arthur of Norwalk, and Eleanor Miner-Hageman (Jim) of Calmar; an uncle, Ed Meyer of Oelwein; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marcia Wilhelmi (1991); brothers, Gene (2008) and Bernard (in infancy); brothers-in-law, Jim Geistkemper (1998) and Brooks Miner (1995); and her parents, Earl (1991) and Donna (1988).
Eileen was born June 22, 1953 in Oelwein, Iowa, the daughter of Earl and Donna (Meyer) Arthur. She worked for Donaldson's for 23 years, until they closed. She had most recently worked for Pries Enterprise in Independence. She graduated from West Central High School in 1971 and attended Calmar.
A memorial fund is established in Eileen's name.
