Dunnwald, Dorothy F.
Dorothy F. Dunnwald, 80, of Waterloo, died Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, at Covenant Medical Center, Waterloo.
She was born April 4, 1932, in Waterloo, daughter of Marion and Florence (Tournier) Remetch. She married Francis “Joe” Dunnwald on Sept. 30, 1950, in Waterloo.
Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Deb (Doug) Miller of Waterloo, Lynette (Greg) Miller of Grundy Center and Mary Dunnwald of Milwaukee, Wis.; four sons, Don (Gail) Dunnwald of Waverly, Mark (Donna) Dunnwald of Waterloo, Paul (Toni) Dunnwald of Antioch, Ill., and John (K'Dean) Dunnwald of Robins; 19 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Margaret (Bill) Brousseau of Coon Rapids, Minn., and Marie Clark of Waterloo; a brother, John Remetch of Boynton Beach, Fla.; two brothers-in-law, Ray Hernandez of Cedar Rapids and Jim (Marcie) Dunnwald of Waterloo; and three sisters-in-law, Sister Susan Dunnwald RSM of Cedar Rapids, Pat Delagardelle of Waterloo and Jane (Don) Towe of Carrollton, Texas.
She was preceded in death by two sisters: her twin, Dolores Hernandez, and Ellen Stocks; and seven brothers, Walter, Richard, Alvin, Melvin, Joe, Jim and Charles Remetch.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Waterloo, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Public visitation will be from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Hagarty-Waychoff-Grarup Funeral Service on South Street in Waterloo, where there will be a 3 p.m. rosary and 5 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will continue at the church for an hour before services on Monday.
