Krebs, Ruth Ann (Stout)
Ruth Ann married Alvin Krebs on May 1, 1943, in Iowa City. For 60 years, she and Alvin worked together for the family business, Krebs Greenhouse and Flower Shop. Whether through arranging a corsage, canning quarts of beans and tomatoes, or setting a family holiday table, Ruth Ann's life was one of service to family and many loyal friends and customers.
She was a member of First Lutheran Church for over 50 years.
Preceding her in death were her parents; her husband, Alvin; daughter, Paula; granddaughters, Bethany Redlinger and Sarah Wilhelm; son-in-law, Gordy Wilhelm; four brothers, George, John, Lafe and Walter Stout; and three sisters, Mary Huseman, Martha Lamb and Florence Miller.
Memorials may be directed to First Lutheran Church, Anna Purna Ghosh Foundation, or the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.
