Richard Earl Tharp, 57, of Walker, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, Jan. 16, at the Don Bosco Hall, 402 Ash Ave., Urbana, at 1 p.m.
Richard is survived by his wife of 32 years, Lory of Walker; their two children, Zachary of Cedar Rapids and Jared of Hiawatha; his loving mother, E. Ruth Tharp of Toddville; and his two sisters, Rosemary (Dennis) Taylor of Kenosha, Wis., and Ruby (Joe) Brown of Toddville.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ronald, and his brother, Ronald Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Mercy.
