Video 1 - DT Louis Trinca-Pasat talked about 'swallowing this” and digesting it and moving. Once Minnesota established the run, the play-action pass popped and so did Iowa's defense.
Video 2 - Dt Carl Davis thought the Hawkeyes defense was physical in the middle, but soft around the edges. That sounds like a badly baked pie.
Video 3 - The Gophers zone read game crushed the Hawkeyes. FS Jordan Lomax said the defense didn't make the right reads, didn't follow its keys. The defense didn't talk to each other. LB Quinton Alston said one player did all the talking. This killed Iowa vs. Northern Iowa. In week 9, it happened again. 'It has to get fixed,” Lomax said.
Video 4 - QB Jake Rudock: Every team wants to score every series. Unfortunately, that's unrealistic. You'd like to score more, but to put a finger on it . . . If you knew or I knew, we'd be head coaches somewhere. I don't think anybody really knows.”
