Police put out notice of where red-light and speed cameras will go

You've been alerted: The Police Department with the help of the city's traffic engineering office has picked eight intersections where red-light and speed enforcement cameras will be erected in the coming weeks and months. Two speed enforcement cameras also will go up on Interstate 380 and the Police Department also will deploy a mobile photo radar vehicle.
Some intersections will have cameras taking pictures of traffic moving in more than one direction.
Installation of the cameras is close to beginning. There will be a 30-day warning period once the cameras are activated.
The camera locations:
First Avenue and 10
th
Street East, both eastbound and westbound.
First Avenue and L Street West, both eastbound and westbound.
Second Avenue and Third Street SW, northbound.
Second Avenue and Sixth Street SW, northbound and westbound.
Second Avenue and 10
th
Street SE, northbound.
Center Point Road NE and Collins Road ramp, northbound.
Williams Boulevard and 16
th
Avenue SW, eastbound and westbound.
Edgewood Road and 42
nd
Street NE, northbound and southbound.
A fixed point on Interstate 380 northbound and southbound.
The enforcement system also will feature a mobile photo radar vehicle that will set up in various spots in the city.
