George C. Lord, 77, of Ainsworth, died suddenly Thursday, March 30, 2017, in Lincoln, Neb. Celebration of life services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 8, at the Ainsworth Community Church. Military honors will be accorded following the memorial service. Calling hours will begin at noon Friday at Jones & Eden Funeral Home, where the family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Friday. Memorials have been established for the Washington Public Library or Ainsworth Community Church. George is survived by his wife, Linda Lord of Ainsworth; daughter, Joyce (Keith) Janecek of Riverside; son, Matthew (Kelly) Lord of Mount Pleasant; son, Robert (Hollee) Lord of North Liberty; five grandchildren; brother, Tom (Mary Sue) Lord of Lakewood, Colo.; brother, Richard Lord of Ainsworth; sister, Sarah "Betty" (Rick) Anders of Muscatine; sister-in-law, Connie (Robert) Cronbaugh of Marengo; brother-in-law, Gary (Arla) Stapp of Grandview; and many nieces and nephews.
