G.E. DICK PARSONS
G.E. DICK PARSONS Cedar Rapids G.E. Dick Parsons, 78, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, June 17, 2016, peacefully at home after a battle with lung cancer. He was born April 15, 1938, in Iowa City, Iowa. He was a proud member of the Marine Corps from 1955 to 1967. A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 29, from 3:30 to 7 p.m. at the Elks Club. Survivors include three sons, Bob, Ron and Randy; his sister, Patricia, and her three daughters; six grandkids; four great-grandkids; and Rose Parsons, the love of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Carol Parsons; and his oldest son, Richard. He helped many people in Cedar Rapids with Veteran's Taxi Service and 5 Star Delivery Service. He was also involved in the Marine Corps League, AMVETS, DAV and VFW. Thanks to Stewart-Baxter for taking care of his remains.
