Anthony "Tony" C. Deguc, 30, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, Aug. 30, 2014, from unexpected heart failure. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at Teahen Funeral Home by Pastor John Wilbur. Friends may visit with the family after 10 a.m. Tuesday.
Tony is survived by his parents, Christopher and Anne Deguc of Cedar Rapids; sister, Cassandra (Bernard) Arroyo of Miami, Fla.; brother, Jamison Deguc of Cedar Rapids; sister, Samantha Deguc of Augusta, Ga.; nephew, Kaleb Deguc; niece, Zelda Arroyo; maternal grandmother, Lois Grooms of Cedar Rapids; paternal grandmother, Lillian Brock of South Bend, Ind.; aunts, uncles and cousins; and his special dog, Harley.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Anthony Deguc, Charley Brock and Donald Grooms.
Anthony Charles was born July 5, 1984, in South Bend, Ind., the son of Christopher Paul and Anne Marie Grooms Deguc. He spent many years working as a handyman in the family business, Renaissance Company.
Tony was an avid reader and video gamer. He enjoyed Notre Dame football with his family. Tony was a loving son, brother, awesome uncle and had a servant heart. He will be deeply missed.
