EDITH MARIE
BEAR KILLER
Springville
Edith Marie Bear Killer, 57, much loved spouse, sister and aunt, left us to be with the Great Spirit on
Sept. 28, 2014. A celebration of Marie's life will be held in conjunction with a hog roast at FB & Co. in Waubeek beginning 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 12.
She will be missed very much.
Marie was born Nov. 29, 1956, in Gordon, Neb., and was a member of the Oglala Lakota Sioux tribe.
Marie liked to play pool and was in a league for many years. She also liked to go listen to music whether it was a local person, band or a big concert.
Marie had a big heart. She would remember birthdays, and was big on buying Christmas presents for everyone, never expecting anything in return. She loved cats and kittens; she used to raise Siamese. Marie would feed outdoor strays with her extra money.
Marie is survived by her lifetime mate of 38 years, David Lam; two brothers, Frank Bear Killer and Sam Bear Killer; two sisters, Judy Bear Killer and Donna Bear Killer-Cady; four nieces, Courtney Hall, Suzanne Bear Killer, Rose Bear Killer and Lori Bear Killer; and four nephews, Dylan Hall, Christopher Bear Killer, Richard Bear Killer and Michael Bear Killer.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Samson and Rose Bear Killer; and her brother, Fred Bear Killer.
