On Nov. 4, voters will elect a new federal senator for six years. Democrat Bruce Braley and Republican Joni Ernst are campaigning to win this position.
What do we know about Braley? We know he is in the House of Representatives and has been a soldier for the Obama team since January 2007. This team crafted the Obamacare program, formulated the Internal Revenue Service debacle, killed the Keystone pipeline which promotes energy independence, built a $17 trillion debt, minimized the Benghazi massacre, includes a foreign policy in shambles and a negative relationship with our military.
And what about Ernst? We know she serves Iowa as a state representative and a lieutenant colonel within a combat unit that served in Kuwait for 14 months. We know she has never had any input into what has occurred in Washington during the Obama administration. She states she is for energy independence, protecting the 2nd Amendment and reducing unnecessary spending in Washington. Braley, on the other hand, makes negative statements, conjectures and innuendos about what Ernst will do if elected to Congress.
Braley has been carrying Obama's water long enough. More of Obama's administration, without checks and balances, could be a disaster for the United States. We are voting for our country's survival. Vote and be smart how you vote.
