Bradley John Matthews, 57, passed away Wednes-day, Aug. 19, 2015, at Methodist Hospital in Des Moines.
Brad was born May 20, 1958, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Ronald and Patricia Matthews.
He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carol; daughters, Erin (Dave) Chambers and Hope Matthews; grandson, Beckham Chambers; mother, Pat Matthews; brother, Doug Matthews; and many other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ron Matthews.
Brad loved his family and he and his grandson, Beckham, had a special bond. He enjoyed cheering on the Iowa Hawkeyes. Brad will be greatly missed by family and friends alike.
A memorial visitation will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 22, at Hamilton's Southtown, 5400 SW Ninth St., Des Moines.
