President Obama makes stop at Mt. Pleasant restaurant

President Obama and his motorcade stopped at Jerry's Family Restaurant in Mount Pleasant.
The staff showed surprise when Obama walked into the restaurant at about 2:40 p.m. One of the staff members handed his cell phone to Tom Vilsack:
“I'm not lying to you,” the restaurant worker said into the phone before turning to Vilsack. “Hey Tom, tell my mom that's he's here.”
Vilsack picked up the phone and could be heard assuring the staffer's mother that Barack Obama truly was at the small town restaurant.
Obama agreed to have a piece of pie at the restaurant and a cup of coffee. One of restaurant staff members wanted her staff to make a fresh pot but Obama refused.
“No, you can give me the old,” Obama said.
Obama then requested the press leave the restaurant, noting that the restaurant staff would prefer to speak without media intrusion.
“You guys can all go unless you're paying,” Obama said.
Obama left the restaurant at around 3:05 p.m. and walked outside where about three or four dozen
