Jerry Barker of Shellsburg, Iowa, passed away unexpectedly Aug. 9, 2017, at his home.
Jerry is survived by his wife, Janet Handler of Shellsburg; and his two sons, Robert (Shannon) and Stephen (Christine), both of Houghton, Mich.
He was a longtime resident of Shellsburg, and had retired from a rewarding career with the Central Iowa Power Cooperative.
Jerry loved his family, his friends, his dogs, good music, good food, wild places and peaceful time on the front porch.
