Your vote is important. On Nov. 7, we ask you to cast your vote for Susan Mims for Iowa City Council.
We have known Mims for years and have witnessed firsthand her result-driven leadership, collaboration skills, and commitment to service. From serving on the school board, maintaining a professional career, raising four children, serving on multiple community boards and committees, to spending the last eight years on council, she has acquired unique knowledge of what needs to be done to improve our city and how to make change happen.
She believes strongly in a safe and welcoming community, sustainability, affordable housing, increased recycling and energy efficiency in city facilities, improved transportation for underserved locations, and fiscal responsibility to maintain the city's top credit rating.
Iowa City needs strong, sensible leadership. Through growth, change, and council-turnover, she has provided balance to keep us moving forward.
