Volz, Mary Kay
Mary Kay Volz, 65, of Norway, died Saturday, Jan. 21, 2012, at All-American Restorative Care of Washington Inc. Services: 10 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Norway, with the Rev. Brian Dellaert and the Rev. Tom Zinkula officiating. Private family burial: St. Michael's Cemetery. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, St. Michael's Parish Center.
Survivors include brothers, Don Volz Sr. (Christa) and Stephen Volz, both of Norway, and Roger Volz (DeeAnna) of North Liberty; and several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Mary Kay was preceded in death by her parents.
Born Nov. 26, 1946, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Mary Kay was the daughter of Wilbert and Romana Volz. As an infant, Mary Kay was stricken with spinal meningitis which left her with various disabilities. She remained at home with her family for many years until she required additional care. She was a resident at Orchard Hill in Washington, Iowa, for several years and as her health declined she was later moved to All-American Restorative Care of Washington Inc.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
Arrangements are with the Brosh Funeral Service of Norway.
